KAMAKOI

The sky today contains the sea,
Clouds moist with ocean air,
Still above the endless green,
Suspended everywhere;

The sea today contains the world,
At least the world out here,
With all its borders blurred,
And all its contents clear,

Distant surf breaks almost real,
Shadows deep, intense,
Trees in colors that you feel,
Where Pacific blues condense,

As if nothing with a lie in it
Could filter through the infinite.
